On June 13, we had kids sit in our peddle car and do their best “Race Car Driver Impression”. We had a select panel of judges who picked their top two impressions. The winner will be announced at Saturday’s race!

Check out our video to see what they came up with!  I’m not sure if we have any future drivers here, but I do know for sure they were cute and good sports for participating 🙂 Thank you to all the Mom’s and Dad’s for helping us out with this fun contest, and all 13 of our little contestants.

We’re gearing up for a busy double header weekend this Friday and Saturday at the Speedway, featuring IMCA Weatherford Hobby Stocks, Stock Cars, Modifieds & Super Trucks!.. and we have lots going on so be sure to come out and see us. The weather forecast looks beautiful too!
Main gates open at 5PM, Races start at 7PM.

FRIDAY June 26 – SHOW US YOUR SIGNS NIGHT
– best fan created sign gets 2 free tickets and the chance to have your picture taken with your favorite driver
— We’ll also be having a watermelon eating contest during intermission. Got what it takes? The winner will get major bragging rights and 2 mod tour tickets!

SATURDAY June 27 – *** KID’S NIGHT ***

Bring the kids down to the race track for some fun activities including 3 bouncy houses, a dunk tank, face painting, games and of course, some live dirt track racing! … because it’s all about the kids, no matter what your age 🙂

A sure-fire favourite at the track, the 2015 Calcutta race has been set for June 27, 2015 (also Kid’s Night!)

Attention DRIVERS, and fans that will be travelling into Estevan for Saturday.
Please share this if YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW plans to travel on HWY 39 E (coming in from North Portal/Bienfait). There is some road construction and the speed limit is reduced to 60km/hr in this area. Please give yourself some extra drive time and potential stops along the way. They have been re-surfacing/sand-sealing so there is lots of extra gravel etc on the road.
I have travelled this road with reduced speed and no stops, but depending on what they are doing, others have had to wait at times.
If you can come up via Noonan port (from the US) it may be faster for some of you.
Hopefully your travels go well, and we can see you on Saturday! Pit gate opens at 4PM, Main gate at 5PM and we race at 7PM.

HEY RACE FANS! We have two awesome peddle cars that we would like to give away to YOU this race season.

Now, there are TWO ways to win… so read carefully;

1. Purchase raffle tickets at the Kids Club Booth (adjacent to the Canteen) at any race day event and be entered to win the Fire Fighter peddle car. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.  This raffle is open to anyone, any age… and is not just for kids. You have until Aug 29 to purchase your tickets and the winner will be drawn and awarded the car at our Championship night race.

2. Have your child stop by our video booth at our June 13 race. We will be asking kids to do their best “race car driver” impressions” for a chance to win the black Police Chief peddle car. This contest is open to kids 12 and under ONLY and you will only have once way to enter, and that’s by being at Saturday’s race. Once all submissions have been gathered, our panel of judges will pick their favourites and announce the winner on Kids Night (June 27).

So watch for your chance to stop and purchase a ticket or enter!

Our next race is Saturday June 13 at 7PM. Main gates open at 5PM. See you there!

Saturday is our annual Anti Bullying Day, so please remember to wear PINK or add something pink to your car. One really easy solution is to find some pink coloured duct tape to add to your rims or flag tape and tie it onto your car. For our fans, you can wear anything pink to show your support, and we will be selling some pink flags at the race that night too, so you can purchase one of those and wave it around in the stands.

We have lined up a special guest speaker from the Red Cross to also help us spread the awareness!

DID YOU KNOW that we have a NEW 50/50 machine at the speedway? Well, we do, and we are enjoying the new computerized technology and helping to put some extra $$ into the pockets of those that purchase a ticket.
