Attention all drivers! Just as a clarification there is NO rules against licenses IMCA/Wissota drivers to compete in the Demolition derby. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Friday, August 26th is Championship Night at the Estevan Motor Speedway. All classes will run. Slingshots, High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars, and Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modifieds.

It is also Emergency Response Appreciation night so come on out and support the people who go above and beyond to keep us safe. There will be a meet and greet with emergency response vehicles on display at the main ticket booth.

It’s race day at the Estevan Motor Speedway. With only two events left the points races are shaking down.

We will be racing all classes Slingshots, High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars, and Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modifieds.

Races start at 7pm local time!

With only two races left on the 2016 schedule the points race is starting to shake down, and some interesting battles are forming.

High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stocks

Reigning High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stock Champion Leevi Runge is looking to repeat in 2016. He has use consistency to take a comfortable 22 point lead over his brother Landon with a 225 to 203 point advantage. Although anything can happen, the battle will be focused on the runner up position as Riley Raynard trails Landon Runge by a mere 2 points. Rookie standout Riese Dignan is sitting 4th overall with 180 points and Kiana Stepp rounds out the top 5 with 179 points.

IMCA Stock Cars

IMCA Stock Cars points leader Jeremy Swanson has been on fire all season, his average finish has been 2.0! Jeremy is holding onto a 12 point advantage over reigning champion Jordan Durward and Chris Hortness who are tied for second place with 222 points. Highly decorated veteran Joren Boyce, who is competing in his 30th year of racing, is tied with 2013 track champion Gregg Mann for 4th with 215 points.

Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modifieds

Only 4 points separate the top 3 positions in the 2016 track champion points race. Kody Scholpp looks to add another chapter to his miraculous return to racing as he currently occupies the top spot with 217 points. The 2015 IMCA Super Nationals Modified Feature pole sitter “Mad” Mike Hagen sits three points back with 214 points. Riley Emmel is the only IMCA Modified driver in the top 5 points to register a feature win, and also the only modified driver at all to register multiple feature wins in 2016, sits 3rd overall with 213 points. Kelly Bauman and Richie Mann round out the top 5 with 196 and 193 points respectively.

Racing action will resume on August 20th with all classes running. Those include Slingshots, High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars, and Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modifieds. The green flag will drop at 7pm local time!

Brothers Leevi and Landon Runge not only finished 1st and 2nd in the High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stock feature on August 6th, they also tied for the Hard Charger award. Landon would win the race from the 10th spot, and Leevi claimed 2nd place from 11th. The brothers will split the $50 hard charge award courtesy of Rocky’s Race Engines. Pictured Landon Runge. 

Jeremy Swanson would follow Landon Runge’s lead. He would not only claim the victory in the IMCA Stock Car division, but also claim the Hard Charger award courtesy of Rocky’s Race Engines. Jeremy earned himself a crisp $50 bill for his effort which seen him move to the 1st position from 6th row outside.

“Mad” Mike Hagen was looking sharp, on and off the track in his brand new ride. He would earn himself the $50 Hard Charger award on August 6th, courtesy of Rocky’s Race Engines. Mike would start 7th row inside and wind up finishing 4th in the Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modified feature.


Mike Balcaen had himself a roller coaster ride for the Fast 40 Wissota Late Model special event. After failing to make weight after a successful heat race, he would have to start at the back of the field in the feature. Throughout the 40 lap main event he would find himself battling for 1st at times, ultimately settling for 3rd on the field. Good enough to earn him the $50 Hard Charger award courtesy of Rocky’s Race Engines.

Neither Saturday or Sunday’s 50/50 jackpots were claimed at the Estevan Motor Speedway.

IT’S RACE DAY! The Border City Dirt Wars Round 1 goes underway today. All classes will run Kendall’s Supply IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, High Energy Performance IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Slingshots!

We will be running double IMCA Modified features also, to make up for the previous event. The green flag drops at 7pm.

IMCA Hobby Stock special features: 
– There will be a points fund for the top 10 drivers who record the highest combined finishes both nights. The winner receiving $1000!
– Each night the IMCA Hobby Stocks will feature a $50 hard charger award for the driver who passes the most cars in the A Main.
– There will be a $100 long haul award for the driver who towed from the longest distance.
– Feature wins will be bumped up to $375 per night.
– The points fund winner will receive a giant novelty check, as well as their name engraved on the Border City Dirt Wars Cup as the inaugural champion!
